Response time
We reply within 2 business days, Monday to Friday. Replies come by email to the address in your message.
Before you edit theme code
Duplicate the theme first (Online Store › Themes › … › Duplicate) and make your changes on the copy. Theme updates can't keep changes made to the theme's code.
Theme updates
When a new version of Keld is released, Shopify shows an update in Online Store › Themes. Updating adds the new version to your theme library with your theme editor settings carried over. Changes made to the theme's code are not carried over.
FAQ
Does Keld check whether a part really fits a car?
No. Keld compares the shopper's saved vehicle with the fitment list you enter on each product. It never claims a verified compatibility lookup, and it tells shoppers so. See Vehicle fitment.
Where do I change the vehicles in the vehicle selector?
In Theme settings › Fitment › Vehicle list, one vehicle per line as Make|Model|YearFrom|YearTo.
A product says "Fitment not set". Why?
The product's custom.fitment metafield is empty. Fill it in, or leave it empty for parts that fit every vehicle. See Metafields.
How do I remove the dashed "Demo" tags?
Turn off Theme settings › Fitment › Show "Demo fitment" label.
Why don't my products show color dots?
The option must be linked to Shopify's Color category metafield, and each value needs a color entry. See Product page › Color swatches.
The Specifications panel is empty. What's missing?
The product's custom.spec_sheet metafield. Add one Label|Value per entry. See Metafields.
Where do the collection filters come from?
From Shopify's Search & Discovery app: Apps › Search and Discovery › Filters.
Can I show reviews?
Yes. Install a reviews app that supports theme app blocks, then place its block directly after the Reviews block on the product page.
Does Keld support more than one language or currency?
Yes. Add markets and languages in Settings › Markets, then add the Country and language block to the footer. Translate theme text in Online Store › Themes › … › Edit default theme content.
